Who, What, Where & When

Ace In The Hole - Vegas Electrifest has recieved it's sanction from the AMA, so we are now official.  The event is happening on October 24025, 2009, at Bennett Field, also known as the TOC field in Vegas.  The permit originally produced by the Las Vegas Sailplane Club will be continued on our behalf.  We will be serving lunch consisting of hamburgers and hot dogs charbroiled onsite along with chips, sodas, and bottled water voth days for a small donation.   Alkaline ionized water whcih hydrates up to six times faster than regular water will be at the site on Saturday, free of charge... just bring your own bottle.  Might I remind everyone that food and rooms in Vegas are at an all time low, low cost.   There has veen no better time to visit Vegas and to fly!

The event is free for spectators.  A pilot fee of $25.00 will cover flying both Saturday and Sunday and enteryou in the pilot's raffle on Saturday.  You do not have to be present to win in the pilot's raffle.  Right now we are not sure if we will have a general raffle... depends on the donations.  If you arrive before Saturday be aware that full AMA members is required to fly at Bennett Field.  For the event, you must have at least an AMA Park Fliers membership.  There will be no transmitter impound for 2.4 ghz. 72 mhz is not recommended because of the rf high noise floor at Bennett field.

Saturday morning at 9:00am there will be a pilot's meeting to discuss safety and events of the day.  Sunday will be open fly for most of the day,  except for the vendors and sponsors.  Although the times have not been set in concrete, some of the events will be: the F-35 speed event supervised by Gary Gioia (16right), the slow stick demolition derby, EJF's factory team, and heli demos, 30 minute helicopter only flying three times during the day.

Please remember that the Vegas Aces' whole intent on picking up the ball on this event was to continue the great tradition of Superfly and to get together as pilots and enthusiasts of this wonderul sport of hobby.  It seems that this event has always been the first great event of the flying year, showcasing all that is new in electric flight.  We warmly welcome all... show uss your stuff!!!  I will monitor this thread at least once a day to answer and questions you might have.

Thanks... Please come!!!

Darrell,

I'm flying with the Airtronics/Hobby People crew. Will be showing/flying some prototypes. Other than the AMA card and being there before 9am on Saturday, is there anything I need to know/bring?

I'm looking forward to flying with you all!
